#DyslexiaScotland Week shining example of how dyslexia does not define you or hold you back. These 7s are recognising needs & challenges & responding to them using new skills “she (P1) wasn’t joining in so I (P7) helped her. I loved it” Highlight of my week 🥰@WlasnS@WL_Equity
Our Mini Literacy Leaders had a great second session with their P1s today , focusing on the skill of identifying and listening for different sounds. #partnershipstnics
2/2 prep for S1 transition. The P7 Mini Literacy Leaders have completed training & led a successful 1st session withP1! We can’t wait to see how both P7 & P1 skills grow. If you want to know more get in touch @WL Language & Literacy Support Service @wl_literacy@WlasnS@WL_Equity
1/2 I was asked how to build confidence with P7s. Having delivered CLPL on supporting P1 literacy, I considered combining both. P7 teach P1 early literacy skills: List. & Attn, Oral Lang & Fine Motor whilst developing their own confidence, literacy, vocab & presentation skills
As part of a collaboration with the Language & Literacy Support Service, our Mini Literacy Leaders in P7 have been working hard to plan activities to teach our P1s language & listening skills. They are developing their own confidence whilst supporting our P1s #partnershipsstnics
