To those who have screamed and yelled for the last year, “Schools are safe! They don’t drive transmission!”
Here’s an acknowledgement from the Ontario Government that INDEED:
1. Schools are a MAJOR source of outbreaks;
2. Reopening schools DOES lead to an increase in cases.

Some school boards aren't going to inform teachers when a student tests positive for COVID 19 because the 1 m physical distancing means they weren't a close contact. This is absurd as these boards have already acknowledged that physical distancing isn't always possible.

Today, the Ministry of Education officially announced that all publicly funded schools in Ontario, including those in the Peel District School Board, will remain closed until at least May 31, 2020, to further prevent the spread of COVID-19.
