Today P2 were shocked to find the classroom full of litter. They sorted the litter into recycling groups & discussed the effects litter has on sea life. We read the story 'A place for Plastic' & created posters to help keep God's world safe #LaudatoSi5#GlobalGoal14
P2 learned the poem 'Scottish Rain' by Tom Bryan for our recent Scots assembly. They created their own tartan and enjoyed learning different Scots words. Can you pronounce some of our favourite words?
P2 recently enjoyed Languages Day where the teachers rotated around the classes, teaching a little of a different language or about different cultures. Mrs P taught us about Cubism art and we created our own portrait in the style of Pablo Picasso π¨ποΈ
During last weeks Rights Rotation morning, learners across P1,2&3 explored Article 24: I have the right to be as healthy as possible. They learned the importance of handwashing and observed how quickly germs can spread and the power of soap to help stop spreading them π¦ π§Όπ«§
P2P enjoyed their first session with our music specialist last week. They explored pitch and followed musical notes to play musical instruments keeping in time with the beat. πΆπ₯πͺπͺ
P2 began a block of gymnastics in P.E. They explored different ways of travelling, creating shapes with their bodies and focused on ways of rolling safely on the mats βοΈ
P2 have been learning about night as part of their topic. They worked in groups to identify nocturnal animals and sort daily activities into day or night. Theyβre also enjoyed using the stick puppets to role play the story π¦ππ
P2 are developing their skills through the Dance and movement block in P.E. Today they continued the Autumn theme and were building bonfires and represented fireworks dancing through the air in each of their dance sequences π₯ππ# snapshotjotter week
P2 enjoyed their last session with Mrs Smith this morning and continued to develop fundamental skills through a variety of activities. To finish P2 used the parachute to play some games and replicated types of weather, linking with our learning in Science πͺοΈπ§οΈπ¨πͺ

P2 had a wonderful surprise visitor this afternoon. Winter Olympian curler, Hammy McMillian came to visit our school and he brought his Olympic Silver Medal and his Gold Medal from the world menβs championships to show us. Ask us what information we learned about his training π
Today we had a visit from Mr Peterson who described what his job with an ambulance company entails and we had a look at the equipment inside one of the emergency ambulances π
P2 have been busy during our HWB week, yesterday we enjoyed a dance session with Grace from Active Stirling developing our physical and mental well-being π΅
In R.E this afternoon, P2 were learning about Godβs love for us in the beautuiful world He has created for us. We took our learning outside to observe examples of Godβs natural world around us.
We researched previous Olympic torch designs, identifying materials used and the inspiration for some designs. We then used these to design and create our own torch for the 2024 Olympic Games and shared our inspiration for our own designs π«π·π π₯
