π¨ 7A Lady Tigers District Championsπ¨
For the first time in school history our Lady Tigers are Basketball district champions. Great job by Coach Weirich and the Lady Tigers!! @TISDGLJHS
7th graders still LOVE playing with play doh! We reviewed our vocabulary by creating something to represent the different terms that table groups were given. Here you see Human Environment Interaction, absolute location, elevation, and Physical Geography. They were so creative!
We have some young entrepreneurs out today. They are selling crafts that they made, along with cold lemonade and popsicles on this hot day to try to earn money for tickets to the Parker McCollum concert in The Woodlands! Come by and check it out! @ParkerMcCollum
Today was our nonfiction review and dress up day. I was Altuve, and one of my students dressed up as me! β€οΈ She told me she even straightened her hair and brought sticky notes to put on her desk. π She nailed it!
We had so much fun together today! We had our White Elephant Gift Exchange, Snow Much Fun rotations in the library, an amazing concert from our CPES choir and handbells, and topped it off with Polar Express Day! It was such an awesome day! β€οΈππ @TISDCPES
When Halloween lands on a Monday, you have to have do what you can to keep the kids engaged. Today, we had some messy fun reviewing our cursive letters that we have learned so far this year. They LOVED it!
I am super proud of all four of these kids for representing our classes in the campus Spelling Bee today! Congratulations to Andrew for winning and going onto the district level, and to Blaze for winning runner up. Way to go, guys! π @TISDCPES
Grammar Glow Day was a HUGE success! I canβt think of a better way to review nouns, verbs, and subject predicate! These kids had the best time, and ROCKED their review! @TISDCPES
Today we practiced our envisioning skills during read aloud time. The kids sat and sketched while they listened to The Day the Crayons Quit without seeing any of the pictures. I loved seeing all the different mind movies and character feelings come to life!
I LOVE that my kids are so excited about independent reading time. β€οΈ It was completely silent, except for my music playing, πΆ and everyone was buried in their books! π I even had a few groans when it was time to stop reading. π₯°
Iβm am super excited about starting my 19th year with this awesome team! We had Meet the Teacher for Bradyn and me tonight, and Rylee had schedule pick up this afternoon. I was so excited to see all of my new kids. I can already tell that we are all going to have an amazing year!
