After a crazy week, my class took a break from the usual to practice using details to describe characters on the inside and out by creating character pumpkins! We had so much fun planning, designing and sharing them! Special thanks to @redwagonfarm for their pumpkin donations!

Day 2 of our celebrating continues as we share our personal narratives in an #authorcelebration They worked on these stories for an entire month! So much fun reading and sharing them! The kids are super pumped to give and receive feedback from their peers!!!

Today was our first celebration in Reading Workshop for the year. We made our book discussions spooky by creating “Batty Book Reviews” and then shared them with friends! Such a fun time summarizing and talking books with friends. Part 2 of our celebration continues on Monday!

My class is excited about reading! We wrapped up our first week of Reading Workshop by marking & sharing our favorite passages from the books we’re currently enjoying AND had the first 100% Book Return in Library for 3rd Grade! Way to go, Bulldogs!

Room 307 had such a fantastic first week! We began our year with some inspiration from @toddparr as we worked together to make our classroom a fun and safe place where everyone can do their best and learn! It’s so great to be back with such an awesome crew of third graders!!!
