A5: One size does not fit all! By allowing learners some choice and freedom to show their understanding of a concept you not only increase passion and buy in, but the quality improves. #cisdlearns
A4: I love this idea of using @bulbapp as an avenue for assessing their journey. This has been a goal for my team this year, so I know our learners would benefit from this work and thinking as well!
A4 Finding ways for our students to assess themselves and their learning journey through their @bulbapp digital portfolios is a great way to have them reflect on what they know and what they may still need to know. #CISDlearns
A3: Being confident that I’m actually assessing the learner and not an adult at home. We’ve tried to incorporate a lot more “live” assessments to hopefully avoid this fear! #CISDLearns
A2: The use of @PearDeck and @nearpod has made assessing learners more attainable. It’s also helped our mini lessons and discussion feel a little more like “real school” with all the response and short answer features! #CISDLearns
5th grade @CRECoyotes got to Zoom with Las Colinas Credit Union to learn about taxes, debit and credit cards, and balancing a budget! Thank you @Mrs_KincaidCRE for organizing such an engaging morning for our learners! @missalberse @MsCassidyCRE @MrsBowlesCRE
Played a game of Boggle with my learners this morning during our morning meeting, and they totally blew me away by the amount of words they found. We will try to add more tomorrow!
Welcome home new hires! I love that we value great teaching and give our educators the tools, resources, and autonomy in lesson design - while also caring about the needs of our learners and staff.
We have the best people. In less than a day's notice these guys took the time to come prep our @CRECoyotes gardens for the fall. It was so fun working together on something that will have a lasting impact while bonding in the process. 💙🌱💛
