Overnight the Government has sneaked out an announcement that they have lifted sanctions on Russian diesel and aviation fuel if processed in a third country.
They’re also now permitting Liquified National Gas to come to the UK direct from Russia.
Incredible that for all their rhetoric about the war in Ukraine Labour is now allowing Russia to benefit from oil revenue, undoing sanctions that go all the way back to the invasion of Crimea in 2014.
I never had them pegged as Putin appeasers.
This Government is a disgrace.
After 18 months of “standing up to Putin” the Labour govt quietly issued a licence allowing imports of Russian oil refined in third countries.
Yesterday Labour MPs voted AGAINST UK oil and gas licences.
We are now importing from Russia instead of drilling in the North Sea.
Insane.
I have never met this bloke. But we are desperately waiting for Baroness Amos' Maternal Health/Birth Trauma report commissioned by Wes Streeting. It is urgent. We are waiting for action on MenB, Valproate, endometriosis, and so many other health emergencies. This is not ok.
My old Kindle still works perfectly.
Probably the highest ROI purchase I've ever made.
Amazon just killed every Kindle made before 2012.
No store access. No downloads. Factory reset and it's a brick.
You bought the device. You bought the books.
Turns out you were renting both.

I’m followed on here by a lot of Labour MPs.
I just want to correct an important misconception I’ve heard this afternoon.
No, hospitality didn’t get a tax cut on business rates. It’s a massive tax rise.
Eg. Hotel tax bills are going up by 73%.
Call if you want it explained.
@RobinShipston Never did I think that I would look back at the politicians in government and opposition during my teenage years, whom I thought at the time to be boring and out of touch, with absolute admiration and with a fervent wish that we had anyone close to their calibre in charge today.
