This week, our GSA started working on painting rocks for the school garden.

Today, members of our GSA worked on mental health paintings. Students were asked to write down things that made them anxious. They then painted over those worries and created beautiful works of art.

Did I plan an entire conference just to meet 2 legends? I’ll never tell.

But I just read the feedback forms and I wasn’t the only one that appreciated not just the giants in the room, but the remarkable youth voice that was there!!

Not the best photo, but two years ago, students in our GSA approached admin about turning a bathroom into gender neutral stalls. With some work behind the scenes, our admin made it happen and now those students can be proud that they made an important change at NDSS.
