Thank you Early Childhood Academy @HarlingenCISD for allowing us to participate in today’s Dr Seuss festivities. @HSHPhealth NHS loved reading to your 🐛 soon to be 🦋!
A4:An exceptional is our ILC @HSHPhealth. No door, it is always open for students to enter & use. Students read, charge devices, work in groups, and feel welcomed & invited always by our LMS. If I had a library like this in HS, I may have visited more often! #HCISDReads
A2:Much of our teaching is geared with technology, it is important we are creating lessons that are creative, interactive, & promote collaboration & critical thinking. Using technology as a tool not a replacement is key. #HCISDReads
A3:An inequity I see is lack of internet/ tech access for some. Our district does a great job by providing hotspots and technology for students who need it. As their teacher I play a key role in advocating for students who may be too shy to request the assistance. #HCISDReads
A1: One of my earliest memories of technology in the classroom was using this old computer to play the Oregon Trail (4th grade) We thought it was the coolest thing ever to "work through" challenges. We were able to be critical thinkers, imaginative, & have fun! #HCISDReads
A4:As the school year progresses I get to know my Ss & colleagues more as we get more comfortable in sharing our likes/dislikes. I make it a point to ask them questions about their hobbies/extracurriculars. I make purposeful conversation to help foster relationships #HCISDReads
A3: I have had students who have had specific needs. It was important to show grace, be patient, but most of all ask questions. Ask how can I help? how would you like to complete this/ be included? I learned being adaptable was key for my students success. #HCISDReads
A2:Its important to recognize & understand our students each have a unique story. To reach them we need to acknowledge these stories & help them navigate the future chapters they have yet to write, reassuring them together we can accomplish any task, little or small. #HCISDReads
A1:My why truly is to help inspire, mentor, challenge, support my students & colleagues while staying openminded to the many lessons I have the privilege of learning not only from colleagues by from my students. Everyday is wonderful because we get to grow together! #HCISDReads
Our HCISD custodial staff work hard each and every day to keep our schools safe and clean. Thank you!
