Some P5-P7 pupils participated in our school maths competition today. The teams showed some great teamwork ensuring people took on roles in their group and they explained their understanding. Results will be announced tomorrow for the winning team.
P3 did some great estimating and weighing of different objects. The children chose their measurement equipment and ways they would record it. They loved comparing the mass of the items with weights too.
In P2 we have been looking at area. Some children used Numicon and cubes to explore area, while others counted the squares and referred to their times table knowledge. Look at this amazing work by a P2 when multiplying numbers!
We held our P2-P4 in-house Maths competition yesterday. There was some great teamwork. The top 5 teams had only 1 point in them. The winners were the team in the 1st picture with the 2nd place team on the right. Super work children!
