Making the switch from Secondary HoD CS to Y6 plus HoD digital Learning and STEM. Looking for maths mastery, stretch and challenge literacy and cross curricular computing & 1:1 student devices.
@RobCrossley4 I am moving into y6 and would like to add some GN but limited budget. If you could recommend a couple or three for older readers to get us started what would they be?
@StreatleySch@PhilippaStrange There’s been no usual this last few years 😂🤣 but have loved all the favourites, Youlbury, PGL Little Canada & Osmington bay. New post in Sept takes y5&6 but alternates location. Next year will be @skernlodge and I can’t wait 😁😁😁
@p_rogo@Teacherglitter I’m leaving secondary for year 6. I know I’ve made the right decision and can’t wait to have a class all day every day instead of once a fortnight!
@jonnybid I used to love marking the BBC500words comp just so i could read hundreds of fabulous stories!! I use them in lessons too, so much fantastic material for other children to enjoy!
So much fun unboxing, assembling plastic cases, and of course labelling frenzy of corresponding cables, boxes, and sensors. Loving what these little computers can do for CS/Physics/Maths and fun! @BBCmicrobit
With increased use of tech in the under-5s I firmly believe we should ensure every parent is fully informed of their responsibility to teach online safety at home. Schools in partnership with the community and parents.
Pre-schoolers on PlayStation? Young ones on YouTube? 👶🎮 The under-5s encounter digital devices – and therefore #OnlineSafety risks – at a crucial phase in their development. Our #WakeUpWednesday guide has top tips for parents and carers 🛡

2/2 Y6 English stretch and challenge I have a motivated class in September with high expectations of 11+ and entrance exam success. Who can I follow for that? #teamenglish#11plus
1/2 Thank you to all the people who are following me back. This is quite a mammoth step going back to KS2 from secondary but I’m excited and looking forward to leading on key subjects, maths mastery is really interesting concept and I’m loving the concept but now need to look at
@caschat_uk@edmoxon55 @Francis_Esq Thank you! PS can primary teachers connect with me please, I’m changing jobs in September and need to look at teaching through different keystage lenses thx
@caschat_uk@edmoxon55 @Francis_Esq A3 my ks3 classes liked the “Hack the password” Python code in the NCCE resources. They also found the cyber map fascinating and hypothesising why attacks where centred around particular locations #caschat
@caschat_uk@edmoxon55 @Francis_Esq A2 how about samples of code or even free Loom presentations showing how and why School computing is really useful on the wider world #caschat samples of code would be fab ( my old Monte Carlo Fortran doesn’t hit the spot anymore)
Thanks for the follow @MissMacICT@janewaite@TeachButler@caschat_uk moving schools in Sept and migrating from my secondary CS account to this new primary one. Looking for primary STEM subjects and computing to follow.
