while some say hw helps families be aware of what their children are learning in the classroom, so does a weekly newsletter :) plus, in a poll of approximately 800 parents conducted by Narbis, 65% reported that the stress of homework had negatively affected their family dynamic.
"At the elementary level, when students are learning how to learn, assigning even 10 or 20 minutes of homework to children who are not yet prepared to work independently can lead to a growing dislike for school and learning in general." :)
