It was a beautiful day to celebrate our writing! We’ve been working hard the last few months to plan, write, edit, edit, edit and publish our lost stories. Today we shared, gave valuable feedback and celebrated our growth as writers. We love writing! @IREC1 #literacy

Another favourite #100thDay activity: mixing 100 colours. Our minds were blown when we discovered we could make every colour imaginable with the 3 primary colours, along with black & white! And colour mixing is so relaxing! @IREC1

Yay for buddies! We met our new grade 1 buddies last week and played a fun race to 100 for the 100th day of school. Some of our buddies seemed older than we thought… @IREC1 #100thDay

This week called for some Maker Space time! We gathered our supplies and made many snowflakes and other fun creations. A blizzard, some cyclops, horses, wooden drum kits, and necklaces were spotted! @IREC1 #STEM #create #irecmakers

This is one of my favourite activities of the year! We “sewed” our own stockings and hung them on our tables with care. Then we did some secret compliment writing and delivered them today. The smiles show how much we filled each other’s buckets today! @IREC1 #KindnessMatters

Today we had a live Zoom with Santa & Mrs. Claus! They read us stories, we sang together & we asked some questions! Magic pixie dust is important for speedy ‘round the world delivery and there are some backup reindeer in case of emergency! #Christmas @IREC1

Today was our last day with our amazing student teacher! We so loved Miss Hoffman’s joy and kind heart ❤️ Her future students will be lucky to have her as a teacher one day! @IREC1 @BurmanUniv #blackfalds @WCPS72

Today our parties presented their promises to make 3S a better place. Who will win our class election? The Team, The Rockers, The 5 Cheeseballs, or Spiders? The polling station will be open tomorrow for voting… stay tuned! #socialstudies @IREC1
