@GovernorVA@business Anyway to speed it up in Prince William County? They did a great job getting teachers vaccinated but so many others are still waiting
Can’t believe it’s been 9 years since my daughter was a college freshman and playing ball. Now she is living her dream as an awesome K teacher at @RosaElementary. I’m a proud mama! @VAUnion1865
A1) I use breakout rooms for “think alongs”. I know it’s silly for 3rd grade but I pretend I’m putting on my thinking cap before I give the topic or question. I feel/hope it signals to the students that I want them to think extra. #PWCSELChat#PWCSPlaybook
A3)I try not to talk too much by using breakout rooms, zoom whiteboard, & videos. I’d like to incorporate more student led discussions and student choice in how content is presented. I’m learning how to use all of the virtual tools we have. #PWCSPlaybook#PWCSELChat
A2)I plan breakout rooms often & for all subjects. The groups always change & I always have a rep from each group share with the class what their group discussed. We’re starting book clubs soon too. #PWCSELChat#PWCSPlaybook
Hi-Michele Ferguson, 3rd grade teacher at Swans Creek ES. When I give my students a break during the school day, I take one too. #PWCSELChat#PWCSPlaybook
A2) Student engagement is actively participating with interest in lessons, activities, or class discussions. I like student led discussions & breakout rooms. In school-group projects with each student having a specific role. #PWCSPlaybook#PWCSELChat
A1) I check in with my students to find out their thoughts on an assessment or assignment. Not just whether it was easy or hard but did I give them the opportunity to show what they have learned in a way that makes sense to them #PWCSPlaybook#PWCSELChat
