Tomorrow is #PinkShirtDay so be sure to put on your brightest pink shirt to show your support for anti-bullying.
This year's theme is "Lift each other up”; a simple but powerful message encouraging us to look beyond our differences and celebrate the things that make us unique.
@lindahaslett@fordnation There are days they won't even get my Nonna out of bed because of how understaffed they are. My dad shows up and she is lethargic in bed with no food or water. My Nonna has my dad. What about the other individuals who don't?
@TrinaPraymak It definitely did not take the excitement away from my bunch. The scavenger hunt was way too much fun! I was all about the fire and calming music though!
Ms. Wideman from Dairy Farmers Ontario came to visit us virtually this week! We learned about healthy eating and the food groups. We especially loved the game of tic-tac-toe! Thank you Ms. Wideman and @DairyFarmersON
@supriyakelkar_ @SterlingBooks @SterlingKids We just read this book and we had a child come to school the very next day wearing her bindi. She said, "Look Mrs. Selemidis. I wear bindis too". Powerful moment. Thank you.
Last week, we read a beautiful book about a girl who loves her bindis. The very next day, for the very first time, one of our gr 1s came to school wearing her bindi. These are the moments that continue to remind me of the importance of culturally relevant texts. I ❤ these moments
