The Children have been learning about All creatures great and small, this week we have been concentrating on sea creatures. The children were so excited and throughly enjoyed making jam sandwiches, demonstrating great fine motor skills and hand eye coordination while doing so.
Waddell Class have enjoyed reading the book: ‘Love makes a family.’ They discussed different types of families and shared news about their own families. @WhittinghamWHA
Waddell Class had a visit from some very special friends today! They were introduced to some real creatures and learned some fun facts about African snails, Madagascan Millepeds, frogs, stick insects and scorpions! Thank you @ ZOOLAB! @WhittinghamWHA

Look at Nursery’s beautiful and colourful drawings of the jungle and jungle animals! They explored different colours and drew with increasing complexity and detail. @WhittinghamWHA
In nursery this week, the children took a trip to the Higham Hill Hub to plant some seeds. They planted some Sunflowers, Marigolds and Tom Thumbs! @WhittinghamWHA
In Waddell class, the children have been using their senses by exploring Slime! They were able to talk about what they see and feel using a range of vocabulary! @whittinghamwha
The children carried out a say it, make it, write it template by saying a sound, then making that sound using magnetic letters then writing the sound.

The children in nursery have been practicing their balancing skills by walking along some wooden planks. Even when they fell off they jumped straight back on and tried again! @WhittinghamWHA
