We’ve been exploring some of the controversy around symbols that represent Autism awareness. April is #AutismAwareness We are leading with kindness and are learning how to create a #Neurodiversity community! Stay tuned for our learning/learned board!

This Ss ‘go to’ was the stacking method. We’ve been exploring effective & efficient ways to add mentally. We write our mental math out to help share our thinking. This S has been listening all year. This was their first time demonstrating their thinking this way!

We have been working on groups of with real life connections. We are developing a deeper understanding of multiplication and what that really means. Here Ss agreed the amount was 12. The real learning was sharing our thinking.

We’ve been focusing on strengthening our mental math strategies through games. Here we are playing the game SKUNK. We are problem solving to add quickly and efficiently. We are noticing the different ways to add. We are changing numbers to help us.

Our Ss have had the opportunity to clean up our front gardens @BogartPS which has inspired some art! Using recycled crayola markers and coffee creams to add different textures. When you stop to smell the 💐 you can read different #kindnessmessage ♥️

Ss are working really hard to clean up our flower gardens at @BogartPS Today we are picking up the garbage that as blown in. Tomorrow we will collect the fallen leaves #oneearth
