@teachermom42380@adamboxer1 Unless you’re L scale, duties shouldn’t be part of your lunch break (and even then you should still get a ‘reasonable break’)
@musicteachinguk@adamboxer1 This is definitely an issue - son’s sch has dropped to 30 min lunches for students (in 2 sittings) and it’s just not enough time for them. No idea of staff get longer though :-(
@adamboxer1 100% agree, Adam. I would be straight up to the staff room for lunch after the kids went out, and didn’t go back to the classroom til the bell went. (Unless the staff room was the venue for a meeting, or someone there was on their soapbox moaning!!)
So I’m rewatching Glee over the summer holidays and I’m going to turn this into a thread of all the things I would CPOMS in a heartbeat.
1. A teacher’s wife asking to adopt a student’s baby without their knowledge.
🎉 Exciting News! 🎉

@fizzywizz86@adamboxer1 A friend of our family (who we’ve known since she was 11 or so) is now a TA in my son’s Y7 classes. Still refuse to believe she is old or responsible enough to be in such a role (and she agrees 😉 as she knew our son when he was months old!!)
You've seen this before: Mont-Saint-Michel — the Wonder of the Western World.
But did you know it has a twin, 200 miles away, also named after St. Michael?
That's where things get really strange... (thread) 🧵
@Headteacherchat Head@ works just fine. Ensures continuity of messaging in the event of a change of leadership. And it’s guessable anyway, as are most staff email addressses once you know one of them!
What a place to start my workday, and what a setting to be considering #AI in #edtech at @EducationFest#educationfest@adamboxer1 sharing his own vocabulary for AI’s hallucinations was a particular high point 😉
@jjfitzgeraldMD Only 4% of all #healthcare research funding is designated for women’s health issues.
Of that 4%, only 1% is for research of health conditions outside of women’s cancers.
So - yeah. It’s a huge problem.
