New communication from Minister to Ontario parents today
Interesting: they say “every teacher in the province received mandatory training in remote learning before the school year began”.
I keep hearing from teachers who say they rec’d no such training. Anyone? #onted#onpoli
When I look back at the challenges that I faced as a Principal and Vice Principal (see the tiny roller coaster loops), they seem so minor compared to what our @SCDSB_Schools administrators have worked through since March of 2020! Thanks for your impact! #scdsbtweets

Teachers to alleviate some stress, just remember, students probably wont remember what was taught specifically during this pandemic, but they will remember how you cared for them and checked on them. Much like how we all fondly remember certain teachers!
I can’t predict the future of COVID. But I can predict a few other things.
I predict students will need more connections with teachers than ever before.
I predict faculties that are collaborative will continue to thrive.
I predict teachers will still find ways to inspire.
In Ontario, the minister of education holds a socially distanced press conference to announce social distancing is not necessary in Ontario classrooms.
Lecce's comments about education workers, teachers and #OSSTF today were beyond appalling. Since March, we have tried to work with this gov't on a safe school reopening plan. All we got was "we'll get back to you" and were never informed about their plan in advance. #onpoli
The Minister of Ed has told school boards to ensure that K to 12 students receive up to 225 minutes a day of live synchronous online instruction. Or, almost 4hrs per day of live online learning for 4,5,6,7,8... year old students. Let that sink in! @ETFOeducators#onted
@DanaMorrison5@MrRuggero@Sflecce My dilemma😢. I have 3 elementary aged students & an infant. Plus, a husband who is a teacher. Oh, and our bubble of 10 that we’ve been diligently maintaining will feel like ♾ thanks to the 1700+ students at my husband’s school plus the 3 cohorts with my children. #FireLecce
Can someone please get me the name of the "top medical professional" who advised @Sflecce that 225 minutes of screen time per day, is acceptable for my 5 and 8 year old daughters. #onted
