One of the most important qualities of a teacher is to stay young at heart. Once you stop enjoying time w/ kids, laughing often, enjoying the little things, being inspired by small successes or you start taking yourself too seriously you can lose your joy of teaching.
I love the districts who are putting teachers first. They are not micromanaging them. Trusting them to reach out to their students & letting them take care of their own families first & checking in on their health. These districts rock & your teachers love you for it & so do I!
Teachers, don’t forget to thank your admin who are exhibiting servant leadership by checking on you. They will never brag on themselves but they appreciate affirmation too.

•Everyone can learn math at a high level.
•When you believe in yourself, your brain thinks differently.
•Mistakes grow your brain. Struggle is good for you!
•It isn’t important to be fast in math. It is important to think deeply and creatively.
Children who consistently get a good night’s sleep:
•Can concentrate on tasks longer
•Are better able to make positive decisions
•Are more able to learn and remember new things
•Have more energy during the day

I am a big proponent of using paper. being paperless is ridiculous, kids should touch something other than a screen. I put all DIRECTIONS online, but not all the activities are digital.
