I feel very lucky to be able to say that I personally don't feel like breastfeeding has been difficult.
Don't get me wrong, there have been challenges with both my boys but overall it's not been 'hard'.
I say this humbly because I know this is not the same experience for all.
As an ADHD-er, the mere thought of having to make up bottles for a baby who is screaming at me for comfort truly terrifies me. I do not have the sensory control nor the executive function to ensure I'm organised enough for that π€ͺ
@chrisandmarkuk You hit the nail on the head, it's a huge issue and one that can have lasting consequences to women's confidence and comfort. I hate to say it, but if the shoe was on the other foot....
Ha, thanks. It was a real last minute addition to our list! But it suits him.
Pelvic floor physiotherapy should be made available after you've had a baby! A weak pelvic floor can lead to long term instability and chronic pain - why isn't this prioritised!!!? #pelvicfloor#maternitycare#pelvicfloorphysio
@chrisandmarkuk Literally this! At all post natal appointments they just ask you if you're doing your kegal exercises, answer no and they tell you off (but give you no guidance), answer yes and they bin you off without further question as to how it's all feeling. Really it's appalling.
Baby Wren arrived nearly 3 weeks ago, so my wife is obviously no longer pregnant (Iβm good at science). Her craving for carrots, however, remains in full force. I bought her a 1kg bag this morning which are nearly gone. Whatβs happening? Can she see really well in the dark?
