Thank you to all parents and carers of 2T it was great to see so many of you supporting your children. There will be no P.E. today but we are back to normal from next week. Again thank you for your support.

Good morning parents and carers of year 2 children. This is a kind reminder that we have our sports day this morning. Could we please ensure children have sun cream on and perhaps a cap to shade their eyes. Most importantly a bottle of water. Thank you all in advance.

Tomorrow in 2T we will not be doing P.E. as normal. We will be having a practice sports day Thursday afternoon. Please send your child into school in full school uniform in preparation for the photographs.
Thursday could you please send your child into school in regular P.E. kit.

In 2T we have moved onto the maths topic of measure. We have been measuring things in our classroom using a metre stick. We used a ruler yesterday to measure in centimetres.

2T are practising our sports event this morning. We are sat beautifully in our sports teams.

In 2T this afternoon we have looked at our favourite places and where we are educated. We then matched some images and words to show our understanding of religious places.

Year 2 will be practising their sports day tomorrow so could we please ensure that all children are wearing suitable footwear.

2T have been rehearsing sentences ready to write them down. We have started looking at the Twits and describing the characters within.

2T have had a fantastic afternoon in the outdoor area. We have a budding chef, some engineers, some acrobats and some game develops developing their own games. Wow 2T I am so proud of you all.

Our horticulturist have been planting the plants that we have grown from seed. We will visit them every fortnight on our visits to the outdoor area.

Good evening to parents and carers of 2T. We will be visiting the book fair on Thursday 21st May. If you would like to send your child in with any money to buy a book. Please send any monies in a named sealed envelope.

Our Maths lesson this morning we have been looking at amounts of money. We first put the coins in order according to their value. We then bought some items around the room and made the amounts in a variety of was. Well done 2T.

Last week 2T created a Lego world which they will then transfer onto a computer screen.

2T joined the rest of year 2 last week in looking at how we grow. We saw Sienna and all her previous photographs which clearly showed her developmental progress.

This morning 2T have enjoyed our very first Spanish lesson. We have learnt Plantana, apple. Pina, pineapple. Pera, pear. Mañzana, apple. Maybe they can show you this evening.

In 2T today we have been making shapes by using fractions of shapes. The post it note represents one quarter of a shape. So the children had 4 to create a whole shspe with 4 quarters. Great effort.

Some of us have challenged our own demons and won. We have built more rockets and designed even more aliens.
