Lee County Schools will be closed for students & staff on Thursday Feb 20 due to the likelihood of inclement weather. Nat'l Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory that begins at 10 am and the timing of the wintry mix is uncertain. Safety is our highest priority.
The biggest shift between HS and college isn’t the difficulty of the content. It’s the sudden increase in freedom. The students that succeed are self-aware and self-directed learners. These skills need to be developed in K12 classrooms, otherwise the transition is too abrupt.
