@mrbgilson What I do with my gifted 4th graders: we listen to/review lyrics to the song Delevoryas by Randy Stonehill. Then we watch Pixar Shorts: For the Birds and Party Cloudy. We discuss what all 3 have in common. This helps us to discover theme is a message an author is conveying.
