@FreddyKuma@BoomLearning We use Google Meets so in order for my students to use my Remote Desktop without a google meet echo I set up the boom cards on a second screen.
Virtual teaching means getting creative. Two computers, remote desktops, boom cards, coffee and a good book between google meets are my essentials for this unusual teaching time. #myohioclassroom@BoomLearning
Today feels a little bit like this. It’s a lot to process. I’m a teacher. I’m built for a classroom. This has been a year I’ll never forget, and maybe never quite understand. But one that will shape my career forever. Physical in-person class may be dismissed but we will RISE.
My team is amazing. These ladies worked hard in our room and are still crushing it outside of our room! Love their drive and passion for our kiddos. Team R. I. S. E. doing what we do best no matter the setting! #bluedevilpride@ReadingCSD#readingelementary#teamwork
I have this posted every morning for my students. But how about a friend check-in. Based on zones of regulation. I ask this of my students. Now I ask this of my friends. Where are you? How can I support you? What do you need to return to calm in this strange time?
I think it’s important for our kids/students/others to see we are not what social media portrays. We are human. Human is hard. It’s raw. It’s scary. But we are in control. We have the power to honor and recognize our emotions while finding a way to return to control and calm.
