Here’s to year 8! First year co-teaching with the BEST teacher bestie! The note in the last pic was handed to me at dismissal, by a boy with tears in his eyes who came to us with a lot of trauma, and who could only read THREE words per minute. Look at him, now. 🥹💙

Today we continued with the second part of our opinion writing. This class has some strong opinions about one thing in particular: Cincinnati style chili! So we are reading articles about Gold Star and Skyline to inform our opinions on which is better. Feeling hungry??

Hands-on experience is the most fun experience! 3rd graders described how to carve a pumpkin, and then had to put their knowledge to the real test! The best part was keeping this fun day a surprise and seeing their reactions when they walked in!
