The Grade 2’s experimented with air today. They predicted and tested how many breaths it would take to move a marble, Kleenex, car, Lego and a block from the start line to the finish line.

We have been busy in Room 8 creating Art. We worked with plasticine and created pictures inspired Barbara Reid and practice making printings with oil pastels. #weareallartists
We spent the morning at Huron Natural Area exploring the plants and animals that love there. We saw an osprey searching for fish, a red backed salamander, millipedes, slugs, nymphs and many other water insects. The prize of the day was a scarlet tanger. Thanks @mccamms68
Learning the basic of coding today by playing with @edusphero’s. Today’s learning goals was to practice driving the sphero’s. Tomorrow we will code the sphero’s through different pathways.
We have been experimenting with different bleeding techniques. We have used tissue paper to make stain glass snowflakes and markers to make beautiful winter sky’s.
Today the Grade 3’s came up with 3 ideas to make our paper towel tubes more stable. Idea #2 lasted the longest. We were able to tilt the tray almost straight up and down before it fell over.
