@StefaniePitzer A4: I've had to unlearn "old" ways of managing negative classroom behavior and learn the BIST philosophy and tools. It was overwhelming, but completely worth the time commitment. I often depend on my team to help! #323learns
@StefaniePitzer A2: I try to make my classroom as home-like as possible...lamps, family pictures, comfy chairs (pre-Covid), decorations, etc. I would like to improve by adding even more student work than I already do. #323learns
@StefaniePitzer A3: ABSOLUTELY! Actually, @MrsDelinski has helped me consistently attempt an assignment/assessment myself before asking Ss to do so. This helps prepare for problems Ss may run into. I've become more confident modeling the "I do" or "We do" of gradual release lessons. #323learns
@StefaniePitzer A1: A positive habit I have is at least making eye contact (mask on) or give a smile, to everyone I walk by...in the hallways or in public. One habit I'd like to change is to slow down and not rush. Be in the moment. #323learns
@MrsDelinski @StefaniePitzer I'm proud of you for taking on this incredibly relevant topic. So many of our Ss appreciate it, even if they don't say it.
@StefaniePitzer A4: I model risk-taking by reading aloud to my classes and writing a response to a prompt in real time. I like to show S's that adults make mistakes and learn from them too. #323learns
@StefaniePitzer A3: As each S enters the room, I try to get a feel for their emotions that day. If I can put a smile on their face, listen to a happy or sad story, or just let them know I "see" them...I have made the first step. #323learns
@StefaniePitzer A2: No matter our personal opinions on HOW we want to approach a topic or problem, we will ALWAYS choose what is best for the Ss...our WHY. #323learns
@StefaniePitzer A1: I would like to get back to WHY I became a teachers the first place...to help our students become successful, responsible citizens. This book has been a relatable, reflective read and I love listening to how my colleagues interpret each chapter. #323learns
@acab1002 A4: I have not co-taught in it's truest form. I look forward to collaborating with the Resource Ts and remain open-minded with the possibilities. #323learns
@acab1002 A3: One of the biggest ways is the way we speak. Without using labels and by showing Ss (through our speech) we are ALL your teachers and you are OUR students. We have begun using this language and I would like to hear it continued. #323learns
@acab1002 A2: #323learns I would like to see PLC time used for the Sped department to collaborate with each of the other departments. Often we are separated by content area, and rarely interact during these meeting times.
@acab1002 A1 #323learns#yourstudentsmystudentsourstudents We decided as a team to move a S to Tier 3, collaborated w/parent and teachers, saw progress and realized the problem was not ability, but effort. #teamwork
