2 students have taken the initiative to become writing partners and draft personal narratives during our “soft start” time. They’re at the final stage of the writing process. Today they polled the class during meeting to see which piece they should publish first. #beingawriter

As we wrap up our first reading unit, students initiated adding another choice to our “soft starts” in the morning: Booktastic Book Club, where students come together to talk about books! Complete with student-made flyers.📚 #MiniZs @mariemontelem @MariemontSchool @LucyCalkins

When we are the first kinder class out to recess...everyone spontaneously breaks out into a whole class round of tag! It’s wonderful to see the community they created together.
