A fun block spent listening to music and talking while working on some melty bead art. A great way for the class to talk about the school year and plans for the summer. @ElginEagles@GEDSB
Yesterday was our class probability carnival and today it’s a marble maze building challenge. Lots of hands on learning taking place the last week of school in grade 4/5. @ElginEagles@GEDSB
The class is excitedly working on their carnival game designs. A fun end of the year project that uses the knowledge gained throughout the year. @ElginEagles@GEDSB
Thanks to the Waterloo Earth Sciences Museum for having us today. It was a great experience testing our buildings on the earthquake table and exploring the museum. @EarthSciMuseum @ElginEagles@GEDSB
Marshmallow challenge in 4/5: don’t eat the marshmallow on your desk and be rewarded with a second one at the end of the block. Many tried to resist and some succeeded, earning a second jumbo marshmallow. This promoted great discussions. @ElginEagles@GEDSB
A rousing game of The Fur Trade in social studies today. Grade 5’s were either First Nations or Europeans and had to trade for things they wanted or needed. Watch out though, some things come with some nasty surprises.
It was great having @Glenhyrst come into our classroom this morning to teach us how to make animal pinch pots. Everyone’s turned out awesome. @ElginEagles@GEDSB
