I wonder how many of our #students go through a school day WITHOUT conversing with one of their #teachers? How many times have students been in my room and I haven't directly engaged in conversation with them during a class period? #edchat#education
A peak into my classroom this year. I have made a shift from “everything you do is for a grade” to “everything you do is working towards mastery learning” and will not be graded. Students value the learning and are not obsessing over every grade. #MTBoS#masterylearninng
Attention parents: this is a reminder of our OPEN HOUSE on Wed. Sept. 12, 5:00-8:30 p.m. Teachers will be available for drop-in parent/teacher conferences 5:00-6:30 p.m. & you are invited to participate in a schedule walkthrough at 6:30! Child care will be provided! #trojanpride
If you make a mistake, if you fail, it's not the end of the world. It's merely one step you take on the way. This year we're learning to "fail forward" #WeAreWayzata#WHSHereForYou
I tried something different at Open House this year and asked parents to write their child a brief note of encouragement that I can save and give them when they’re having a hard day. #nced
