We are at it again this year with the challenge to write numbers to 1,000. Students got the packet on Monday and I already have my first finisher! He worked so hard all week and finished today! ππ»
Look at these amazing opinion pieces first grade finished today. These were based on the Pigeon books by Mo Willems. The students chose one thing the pigeon should not do and gave reasons to back up their opinion! They all turned out great!
Our research unit has been such a fun experience. We researched animals, wrote an amazing informational book on our research, created masks and scripts to go with our research videos, and slide shows with our 5th grade buddies @SpringBranchEl#isdfirst
I love how the final product turned out. Each day we learned about different adaptations of animals. Students wrote about how the animal feature they chose helped that animal and created a person with those animal parts. Thank you @ashley_hinck for sharing!
This week we have been working on graphing. On Monday we started out with picking a topic to collect data on. We collected data and then each day we turned that data into a different graph. Look at these awesome final products! @SpringBranchEl#isdfirst
Yesterday we solved a different type of word problem. Students had to think about what animals/people could be in the cave that equals 26 legs in all. Here are some at mathematicians work #isdfirst@SpringBranchEl
Now that we can write our numbers consistently to 120, we are back at it with the challenge to write our numbers to 1000. This girl finished her packet in 3 days! #isdfirst@SpringBranchEl
Wow Iβm impressed. It Greg Tang he talked about how itβs important for kids to be able to see in columns to make groups and not only@just the normal 10 frames. Well one of my students chunked the dots into 2 groups of 8! #isdfirst
First grade was super excited today to be able to perform their readers theater script to Little Red Riding Hood! All 3 groups did amazing! @SpringBranchEl#isdfirst
Yesterday we worked in groups to play a game called my favorite no! Students had to figure out how I solved the double digit addition and subtraction problems wrong and they had to fix my mistake! They did great! @SpringBranchEl#isdfirst
