The first plane carrying aid from El Salvador arrived in Jamaica last night, following the devastation caused by Hurricane Melissa.
In total, 3 planes will deliver relief (1 per day) bringing 300 rescuers and 50 tons of humanitarian aid.
May God be with our brothers in Jamaica.
I know the worst has hit St Elizabeth, and their surroundings.
But Montego Bay, is dense and in a dire state.
No water to clean.
No power to manage.
Mass sickness is on the horizon.
That city supports Westmoreland .
It needs stability to rebuild that entire side of Jamaica.
This is my community back in Trelawny. The storm has done so much damage that not even radio signals can get there. They’re cut off from any sort of information since Melissa passed
@keishonaleash This is for the general public/individuals and only the items on this approved list will be exempted. Is other items are needed then those would have to go through charitable organizations.
Areas to assist in Westmoreland
Darliston (any surrounding areas going towards Mobay and St Elizabeth in the path of the hurricane) New Market, Bethel Town, Seaford town ETC
Petersfield (flattened and flooded)
Grange Hill (Blocked off)
Burnt Savannah (blocked off)
Other areas of Westmoreland are severely damaged but the ones highlighted are the ones that are hardest to reach
