Virtual and in-person 1st grade connections today! My virtual friends shared their nonfiction books and @KontorAlexandra’s students heard connections to what they have been learning too!
I was so anxious about teaching kids to read virtually before starting this year. We are certainly ending the year as READERS! ❤️ #virtuallearning#wearereaders
One of my virtual students came to visit me yesterday and my heart is SO full. She walked right up to me and gave me the biggest hug ❤️ (and hugged Benny too! 😂)
Thank you Super Secret Detective Agency for helping us solve all those tricky words! I think these detectives are going to be SO excited when they receive their official badges in the mail soon! 🔍👣🕵🏼 #worddetectives#virtuallearning https://t.co/K28ybxBSx3
Today’s virtual community circle topic was “if you could meet anyone in the world, who would it be?” One student said “you!!!” It took me second to realize that I haven’t actually met these sweet Ss in person. Some days virtual hugs just don’t seem enough!!! 🥺❤️
There have been some mathematicians hard at work this week. Check out the thinking and all of those different strategies from our first grade distance learners! #yaymath
