@JeremyFoot1977@melizwalls@Seebo429 I teach in Fredericton and with Base Gagetown’s proximity it’s common for active duty members to come to assemblies in their fatigues.
@daanksy@premierbhiggs Diversity and immigration are not the problem. The problem is the lack of collaboration. If we were able to address the issues in the proper way costs and staff burnout could be better managed. Higgs refuses to listen to experts on a variety of topics.
I've recently discussed sudden behavioral issues in school aged children w/ parents and teachers. In most cases, this followed the kids being sick.
Reminder: COVID can cause increased anxiety, aggression, and defiance in children.

@daanksy@premierbhiggs He has lied to the public about teachers. He failed to condemn those who harassed us and called us pedos. The contract that we negotiated last year showed teachers where his priorities are and his lack of commitment to improving education. 4/4
@daanksy@premierbhiggs The struggles in the education system (much like the healthcare system) have been building for years and not just in NB. I don’t blame Higgs for that. I believe we can’t survive another term with Higgs because of the attitude he has toward education and healthcare. 3/
@daanksy@premierbhiggs We need to hire more school psychologists, trained behaviour mentors, speech pathologists and guidance teachers. We need more EAs and we need to invest in quality training for them. We need to invest in staff and not constant costly curriculum changes.
@daanksy@premierbhiggs Staffing is allotted based on student population. Combining schools MAY lead to more access to resource/guidance/behaviour mentors, but that’s not a guarantee. Resource teacher & admin allotment needs to be based on the needs in the school, not the number of students. This
@dondarlingSJ I have been teaching since 2009 and teaching has always been my passion. I have never felt more disrespected by a government than I have under Hogan/Higgs. I have never once considered leaving the profession until last year. Sadly that feeling is only getting stronger
@daanksy@premierbhiggs I genuinely believe that our public education and healthcare systems will not survive 4 more years under Higgs. Both are underfunded and at a breaking point. Experienced staff are burning out and new staff are not being recruited fast enough.
@premierbhiggs You were definitely discussed around the kitchen table this weekend. Our teacher and healthcare worker supporting family had nothing positive to say about you, Hogan (local Con candidate) or your government. Many were former Con voters
