@Simon_Ingari 2024… when off for work related stress and anxiety… weekly one hour ‘wellbeing’ calls from HR , accuse you of ‘faking it’ when you say you are anxious people will see you if you leave the house… and tell you that it doesn’t benefit them having you off sick…
Inclusion has become perhaps the most used word in education today. But what’s interesting is how many children aren’t actually ‘included’ in the conversations about inclusion - the quiet, hard working, under the radar, polite, always respectful children who just get on with it day after day. But whose needs and wants are often ignored, or not included, because they aren’t loud enough to warrant it. The whole thing needs flipping on its head as these children, and there are loads of them, deserve a way better deal than having all their lessons ruined and their ability to exist in school feeling safe and not being bullied diminishing.
Rain hasn’t stopped play at the Family Fun Day on Upper Highgate/Conybere Street. We’ll be here until 5 o’clock today - why not join us? 💚

Thanks to @naomi_desouza and @birmingham_live for shining a spotlight on the dignified anger of this incredible community in their response to the unthinkable death of a 4 year old child on their streets. https://t.co/NFKOSXwXGF
I went to this earlier and was moved by the eloquent and passionate speeches, many from children, family and friends of little Mayar. It was good to see Cllr Mosquito there & introduce her to @for_birmingham to explore what can be done to make this road safer.
Today friends, neighbours & campaigners stood together in solidarity with the Yahia family. Four year old Mayar Yahia lost her life in April when a driver crashed into pedestrians on Upper Highgate Street. When will action be taken to ensure no one else has to suffer such loss?
Thanks to @nathanc1999@birmingham_live for this fantastic article. Please come tomorrow to support the . incredibly brave Yahia family in their vital call for change https://t.co/c2YgpxFBnt
@MichaelRosenYes I got a U in my GCSE History mock and I answered all the questions as well as I could 😂 my mum said to me… ‘did you even write your name on the paper?’
My first therapy session…
THERAPIST: What do think is causing you the most stress? Relationships? Family?
ME: Well, I honestly think a lot my stress is work related.
THERAPIST: What do you do for work?
ME: I’m a teacher.
THERAPIST: I think you might be right.
@NicolePonsford My kids school do a ‘wooly jumper’ day which works really well with all the different faiths. End of term parties are ‘multi faith’ parties where they celebrate all the festivals that have been during that term 🥰
@danicquinn We did 7:30-5 with a childminder. Childminder and my work school and our home all in 5 minute drive radius.
Now that they are school age, husband works from home; chooses home working only contracts to avoid childcare costs. I still work five minutes away.
