@izzieteaches I’ve been in trainings this summer and I feel guilty tweeting about my learning, which would normally be a source of joy for me, because it could have the implication that I’m prioritizing that learning over other learning, which could be more important.

@BrianMendler I made a Google Voice acct so kids could call/text me when they needed support. One student just wanted me to be on speakerphone with her while she worked. I’d cook dinner, she’d do her hw, occasionally asking q’s or chatting- and we’d just be on speakerphone for hrs together ☺️

If you are compelled to make a list of rules for kids to follow while in video classes this fall, please stop and think. Kids are not in a classroom and are in no way all in the same spaces physically or emotionally. Let them snack, wear comfortable clothes, and hold the puppy.
