These fabulous future first years got creative and each made an animal inspired sculpture representing themselves. When we go back to school in August, look out for the totem pole we’ll make by stacking all the sections together! #RaiseTheBarr @BarrheadHighSch
It was a pleasure working with you. You are both extremely creative and talented people. Thank you for all the wisdom and friendship you shared with me. Happy retirement! X
Last year I paid egg homage to the wonderful Bob Ross. This year, I was inspired by Vincent Van Gogh. His creativity, passion and endurance resulted in some of the most influential artworks in history...but no amount of contouring can give an egg those cheekbones!
Going back to school after lockdown is exciting, but some pupils may need help adjusting. At Dekko we’ve got just the thing to help teachers explore mental health with pupils, a free mental health comic and resource guide https://t.co/GgBoDcIVW6 #mentalhealth#teachertwitter

There’s something on here for everyone! Numeracy games, literacy supports, health and well-being advice, study skills, tech recommendations, top tips for parents/carers... a great resource for all 👍
Great advice, Sean! I favour creative methods too. As a pupil I learned cellular respiration by turning it into a comic, I can still recite my S4 French essay because I learned it to song & even now, I colour coordinate everything I do to help me stay organised. #studyskills
@BarrheadHighSch Normally, my husband and I share all our chores, but to be kind today, I did them all so that he could relax 😎 #KindnessMatters#MentalHealthAwarenessWeek
DEKKO #DRAWING is now available online for free! From drawing tips to drawing activities to comic stories about both, this resource has them all!

@BarrheadHighSch On our walk today we took notice of all the creatures around us. My highlights - two duck families, a swan family and lots of cute dogs! Many were too quick or too far away but I caught some critters on my phone! #KindnessMatters#MentalHealthAwarenessWeek
@BarrheadHighSch My husband and I just had a hilarious race round the flat doing the scavenger hunt @MissW_BHS posted earlier! The hardest thing to find? A penny! Not single 1p coin anywhere in the flat. Had to settle for a squished souvenir one 👌 #KindessMatters#MentalHealthAwarenessWeek
@BarrheadHighSch I had a lovely time re-connecting with some pupils and staff at Carlibar today! 👋 We asked each other questions and made cards for tomorrow’s teachers! Mya and Liam also made this beautiful display to inspire people all week ⭐️ #bekind#MentalHealthAwarenessWeek
@barrheaddt around this time last year, at BHS’s Mental Health Activity Day, lots of creative pupils took on my photo challenge! Here are some fun perspective photos that were taken then 📸
