What’s the worst thing to hear on a run?
I’ll start: towards the end of cadence run; shattered, sweaty and the colour of beetroot.
“Hi Mrs Myers”👋🥵😳🏃🏻♀️ @TeachersRunClub
@SuzanneNossel@PENamerica@roald_dahl It’s all a bit 1984 for my liking. Yes, they’re only changing a few words here and there but if you change a few words with every new edition you could rewrite the book in not very long. Can someone explain why they’re removing the alliteration of ‘formidable female’?
@adamboxer1 We talked and wrote about perceptions of reality TV stars in my year 9 lesson today. Teaching, learning and love island (I’ve never actually watched it but 🤷🏻♀️)
@TeachersRunClub Got back to running this week after a break for injury. Was supposed to be going this morning but after a horrible day yesterday I am being kind to myself. Maybe I’ll go tonight 🤷🏻♀️
@1867ben@AndyBounds@duncanrobinson How so? I started paying tax on my earnings at 16 years old. They plan to raise state pension age to 68. I’d have you live to over 100 to have been working (paying tax) for less than half my life.
@ms_b_teaches @MrMediaMac Thanks. Just don’t want to have to spend the last day of my holiday planning when we’ve not even had 2 weeks off. But hey ho.
@GiftedTawk Class of 15 every time. But I’ve never had a class of 30 who are all engaged and my classes that are the most challenging always have more than 15 in them. Ultimately, getting the kids with diverse needs on side is kinda why I do it.
@katepitters6@abbyaug We are with you. Rest easy and know that the vast majority of people in the country are behind you and know you don’t take this decision lightly. You are amazing!
@greeborunner I tend to warn them I’m going to cry during the lesson. It’s so wonderful to share stories you personally connect with with kids. I forgot, I also cry at Love You Forever and The Velveteen Rabbit every time I read them with my own children. So many beautiful little people books.
@TommyStones1 @abbyaug If Sumatriptan works a little but not completely, Rizatriptan is slightly stronger. It’s what I use and although it doesn’t completely get rid of the symptoms it does improve things enough that I can still function.
@NoticePro @FairyGo55965177 @skyhighthinker @shemcdee @Engleeshteacher Hi 👋 I’m an English teacher in rural England and I’m soon to branch into teaching performing arts which is actually my specialism. Always interested in the creativity of young people. Wonderful to see them using the arts to spread important information and communicate views.
@adamboxer1 Very well said! Completely agree. I am often accused of naivety because I work hard to see the perspective of others and generally assume the best of them. I probably am a little naïve at times but I prefer to live this way. Assuming negativity must be exhausting and lonely.
