At nine months pregnant, I started my day seated in a circle with a group of sophomores and juniors while we dropped everything and read. Scholars read Hawthorne, Achebe, Wilde, and Lo for fun and for school while I opted for an exercise in unlearning what I thought I knew.✌���📚

@73Newport @NicholasFerroni Curious about the student population in AB. How many kids are in a class, on average? What are the socioeconomic statuses? Are there many ELLs? How many preps do teachers have? These are the hurdles many teachers in the US face to "substantially improving achievement results."
