Happy Billy Mills Day!
Billy Mills, Oglala Lakota, won the gold medal in the 1964 Tokyo Olympics 10,000 meter race. Not only was this win a historic upset & giant win for the US team, but it was won by a NATIVE American - at a time when Natives didn't yet have basic civil rights
What a great evening with our @HollinMeadowsES families! We gave out lots of books, got new @PTAHMES members and in partnership with @UCAlexandria helped many eligible adults register for their vaccine and get info! Thank you volunteers! 💙💛 @FCPS_TitleI
