@KateErricker@howie_hua I do especially like that it allows for different strategies to be used even though you're using the same model approach. Nice!
@edsouthall Maybe a "Could they both be correct? Explain." question followed up by "Which statement would better help match the representation on the chart?", drawing on use of efficient methods.
@NWSbroomwood Aw! Thank you so much for the kind tweet and comment! Hope it entertains and educates the lovely @NWSbroomwood girls. Hope everyone is well and safe!
@Y6MissHobson@RiffatParveen@WhiteRoseMaths If you upload a video into Microsoft Stream that has tlan option to have subtitles. You can also use iMovie to add the subtitles yourself but kore laborious. DM me if you would like me to show you how to do either of those.
@HannayJeremy 2/2 You can only do what you can! The main thing I have taken away from all of this so far is that social distancing leads to loneliness so I would focus on keeping mental health in check. Academic work (especially in primary) can be caught up later if the mind is sane.
@HannayJeremy 1/2 I'm a teacher in HK. I have now completed 6 full weeks of online teaching whilst helping my two chn with their home learning. Technology has been essential to adapt and support my students (Microsoft Teams is great) but I realise that not everyone has access to it.
@stalkedbyfate @FakeHeadteacher Same here. It's been stressful and work days were longer to start with but finding it all a rather enriching experience. Now in a routine and more tech confident so actually enjoying parts of it. Home schooling my own children at the same time has been the biggest struggle.
Applying some advice given by @RavenstoneMaths to another lesson. Simple and open-ended is the way forward. Thanks Dan and @lsw_hub for the continuous CPD opportunities. Love learning
We have started one of our maths lessons in @NWSbh_Class6 with this question. The maths discussion that followed was truly exciting. Would parents be able to explain their thinking as well as the children have? Reaching for #MathsMastery with #NWSBhconfidence
Very looking forward to this morning, learning how maths is done in Shanghai - courtesy of @lsw_hub. Will also look forward applying some of the strategies @NWSbh_Maths
