Duke women’s basketball coach Kara Lawson first sport was actually football. She only played briefly, but the lessons stuck with her.

Before her first practice, she was nervous. Her dad told her, “If you don’t believe you’re the best”, stay in the car.

Then they put her on the offensive line 😂

And that led to one final lesson that I’m sure she still shares with her @DukeWBB’s players today.
