It has been such a joy seeing kids of all social groups & social abilities interacting together on our zooms. I love witnessing these opportunities for kids to get to know each other and laugh together without the usual social boundaries. #SilverLining#BakerFamily
The biggest thing I have missed about being in the classroom is listening to the students just being themselves & interacting with each other. Thank goodness for Zoom! I’m listening to my kids play Gimkit and it feels almost like real school again. #BakerFamily
September 2019: room 113 (1100ish sq ft), October 2019: room 208 (900ish sq ft), March 2020: room 202 (30ish sq ft). Oh how the times have changed! #BakerFamily
I am SO GRATEFUL that I was able to spend time with my kids on zoom this week. Creating content has its own satisfaction, but it’s all the little joys that the kids bring that make teaching FUN. It looks like the kids enjoyed it, too. #BakerFamily
Keeping up my Friday Guessing Jar tradition online with my Math6/7/8 students. I post a video and students post their guesses in a Schoology discussion. This week a parent placed her guess, too! (And it’s a good one!) #BakerFamily
The results of yesterday’s survey shouldn’t surprise any teacher or parent of a middle schooler: Taki’s and Flamin’ Hot Cheetos were on top! #BakerFamily
As a way to stay connected while school is online, I am posting surveys everyday for my Math6/Math7/Math8 students. Here is some data collected from yesterday’s Marvel Cinematic Universe survey. #BakerFamily
