@MsAshleeV@KarenDavison4 @BenHorslen That’s absolutely wonderful to hear.
Hats off to the children.
I’ll match that contribution.
Will be so wonderful if you can get the Buddy Bench
It’s March, a new month, which means it’s time for me to give away a class set of novels via my book shop @ANewChapterBks.
For a chance to win, simply retweet this lil tweet.
@vickitoria35 A weighted pencil might give more sensory feedback when writing. Perhaps also some “crossing the midline” activities. Look at whether there are certain pencil movements that are problematic, is it controlling direction or pressure, or length of line, or moving clockwise etc
@DanFreedman99@KarenDavison4 We’re currently making friendship bracelets to sell as part of fundraising to help towards the cost of our Buddy Bench. Thank you for inspiring my little bunch in so many ways.
@DanFreedman99@KarenDavison4 I just wanted to let you know that the children absolutely adored Lenny. They wrote extra diary entries, gave advice and even wrote a letter to our headteacher to ask if we could get a Buddy Bench for our playground.
@QTMissL It does mean using a lot of reference grids and highlighting off what they can demonstrate consistently, but then we can track their overall assessments and progress within @InsightHQ which we use for all of our assessment data.
@QTMissL We assess based on where they are working at. We’ve only just introduced it this year for exactly that reason, and are now looking at which year group their attainment best aligns with, so that we can see their progress, at whatever pace that may be.
