Haven’t been on here in awhile as the beginning of the school year was tough, but here is your reminder that ALL students can be successful in a general education setting when the right supports are in place!

Inclusion has become such a buzz word in education, but inclusion is belonging. Every student should belong in the general education classroom. Period.

Also the point of this is that ALL students can learn and when they aren’t we must examine the accommodations/modifications put in place! I heard for so long this student ‘can’t’… but this is proof that he CAN!

Today is my last day teaching for a while. One of my friends got invited to be a peer leader for gardening, so I got to spend some time outside with him. I’m going to miss this crew!

We teach into students really knowing their own strengths and needs. These students who chose this group are also students who have a need in fact fluency! But giving them choice gives them more ownership in their learning

Small groups based around student choice will forever be one of my favorite inclusion strategies! These students all wanted to work on their fact fluency, so I partnered them up and created stations to practice!
