My wife has taken the grandchildren to France and Switzerland this week, where they are enjoying travelling by clean and functional trams and trains, along roads that aren’t covered in potholes, in town centres that are live and thriving, where pensioners actually have enough money to survive. Now let’s be clear, they all have huge problems growing, not least by their adherence to neoliberalism and Capitalism, same across much of Europe being collapsed by the US, but hey. Here we are in the UK. The UK is now officially a shithole. There has been a few decades of political figures, Tories and Red Tories, wedded to a neoliberal philosophy of greed and self aggrandising entitlement, fraud and theft, corruption and collusion. Britain has been subjected to a coup. It was carried out in plain sight, helped by their media and corruption of every office of State. It was propelled by Thatcher, accelerated by Blair and Brown, turbocharged by Osbourne and Cameron, and reached levels of piss taking under Spaffer and the current Prime MInature. And during this period nothing has been spent on the public good and it shows. Our town centres are falling apart. Shops are empty, boarded up. Now there are no public toilets wherever you go. If you can’t travel by car you have to endure the bus, or the train, late, dirty, expensive and packed. Everything use owned as a population, as a country, everything, has been sold off to their mates, our infrastructure, trains, steel manufacturing, energy companies, our oil and gas fields, the Post Office, Telecoms, Blood plasma manufacturing, Nuclear expertise, education system and schools, universities are selling themselves to foreign students to make ends meet whilst our own students are submerged in debt as soon as they leave college. The NHS has been run down to destroy it to allow their Health Corporation friends to ransack it. Long established family brands are bought out by Private Equity who then sell off all the assets, lower wages for staff, run up huge packages of debt to rinse as much money out of the entity as possible, then, when their offshore account is bulging, they let the shell collapse, usually together with the pension funds they have looted. British governments have sold off every single public asset and are now looking to sell of cities and huge swathes of land in Free Ports and SEZ,s this will mean they are privately owned, and within them they can organise their own policing, education and welfare, avoid paying tax and employ a workforce of indentured slaves. Welcome to Britain. A shithole.
