@DahliaKurtz They’re trained to follow a procedure about protecting the school/board more then the individual. My non verbal, severely intellectually disabled daughter was physically assaulted(slapped in the face multiple times) by her EA. There was never any apologies, charges or resolution

I don’t expect the police to know every single mental disability it’s too much to ask. The public needs to be checking their backyards & cars etc

@OttawaPolice There should be exceptions for an alert when an intellectual disability is involved. My kid that is ID wouldn’t survive a day. I know you work hard and do not intend to sound like I’m judging, I just live a life of protecting a child 24/7
