When we teach students how to drive their own brain through metacognition, we are giving them the most powerful tool you can bestow as an educator. I strongly believe teachers can benefit from training on implementing this as their foundation in any subject and any grade.
We got a great admin leading us, and we have new and veteran faces already leading the way! #rangersleadtheway I had an awesome start for our first day of 7th grade ELAR here at @wilsonyoungms@EctorCountyISD I am officially :
@clopez2387@wilsonyoungms@EctorCountyISD ๐คฃ๐คฃ Iโm dying! I am just now seeing all of this because I didnโt have access to my account!๐คฃ๐คฃ๐คฃ๐คฃ Remind me to give you the red cape back for the next teacher this year!
We survived the longest year ever! I was blessed to be part of an amazing team this year! The opportunity culture taught me so much about teamwork, and I learned about teacher wisdom through opportunity culture!#blessed#teachinginapandemic#bettertogether@wilsonyoungms
Using Padlet again! This time students share advice and strategies for attacking Reading STAAR concepts that other students can benefit from. #rangersup#ReadingSTAAR@wilsonyoungms @EcisdElar https://t.co/wANgIetKLZ
Students share their favorite quotes and moments from self-selected books during independent reading time. Water Castle by Megan Frazer Blakemore sounds intriguing! I might read it. #elar#selfselectedinterests#BookClub#qootd@wilsonyoungms @EcisdElar https://t.co/459LS0x9UR
I swear; the creativity of these students is out the ballpark! This student created a short movie trailer incorporating elements from the rubric and a truism for her project. Now I want to go watch the movie #touchingspiritbear#creativeprojectideas@wilsonyoungms@TechECISD
