A 5-year-old attempted a backflip on the playground. His feet barely left the ground before he landed on his face. 😭

After checking him for injuries, I asked:
“Do you know how to do a backflip?”
“No.”
“Then why did you try?”
“I thought today was the day I would figure it out.”

The confidence. The optimism. The paperwork. 😂

I told my Pre-K students I was leaving for a dentist appointment but would be back in an hour.

One of my 5-year-olds looked at my TA and the para and said, “Oh, this isn't going to be good.” 😂

I had to reassure him that I was leaving him in good hands and that he'd survive without me.

When I returned, he immediately asked how my dentist appointment went. I told him I got my teeth cleaned and gave him a big smile to show off my freshly cleaned teeth.

He looked at me and said, “Those are the nicest teeth I've ever seen.” 🥹😂

I told him I'd be sure to pass that compliment along to my dentist!

Out of the mouths of 5-year-olds! You truly cannot make this stuff up! 😂

@jurlycat My dad visited school today and told the 5-year-old, “I paid for her teeth, so I’m glad they still look nice.” 😂

Having no concept of braces, he looked so confused and asked, “Why did you pay for her teeth?” Pretty sure he thinks my dad bought them separately. 😭

@coachwalsh25 My students go outside at 9 AM, and they were so excited to find frost on the slides this morning! 😂 Of course, that immediately turned into everyone wishing for snow. Meanwhile, I'm over here just wanting to hang on to fall a little longer!

Sunday Reset: Grocery shopping ✔️ Meal prep ✔️ Laundry done ✔️ House cleaned ✔️ Went for a walk ✔️ Nap taken ✔️

Now it's time to wash my hair, which honestly feels like a whole second shift. 😂💆‍♀️

Nothing like spending your entire Sunday getting your life together just to have Monday come along and undo all your hard work. 😂
